Since arriving to Cardiff City, Warnock has signed 4 players in less than a week

Neil Warnock penned a managerial contract with the English League Championship, Cardiff City on October 5 of the ongoing year and in less than a week of being appointed he had already added 4 new players to the club.

Junior Hoilett, Sol Bamba, MarouaneChamakh and Kieran Richardson are all of the players that Cardiff City signed within a week after having lured in Neil Warnock to the club but even though there has been a significant amount of players being signed and changes being done since the arrival of Warnock, Cardiff City are being tipped as one of the clubs that will be finishing at the bottom spots of the English League Championship.

Out of the 7 opening matches of the English League Championship of this current season, Cardiff City sustained 5 defeats, 1 draw and 1 victory. This is the start of the season that Cardiff experienced under the tutelage of their former manager Paul Trollope and it’s because of this underwhelming kick to their campaign that Cardiff City are still being tipped to finish in the bottom relegation zone and why they had to make a recent managerial change.

SWANSEA SEARCH FOR ASHLEY WILLIAMS’ REPLACEMENT

Swansea City are still in search for a capable replacement for Ashley Williams since allowing the transfer of the Wales international to Everton.

The summer window is set to close on Wednesday, yet the spot is yet to be filled. Swansea coach Francesco Guidolin is willing to add a centre back, with prospects likely to be from the Serie A. After the loss to new entrants Hull City, the need to fill the position would be more imminent.

Udinese defender Thomas Heurtaux has been linked to be the replacement but his fractured jaw could have affected the transfer process. Back up goalkeeper, Kristoffer Nordfeldt has signed a new four year deal with the club.

In the other division, Cardiff City are trying to force out Federico Macheda, Kagisho Dikgacoi and Adam Le Fondre before the window closes. The players have been told they are free to leave the club by the management of the Bluebirds.

Cardiff are willing to add a wing-back after the departure of Fabio this summer. The club was been linked to Red Devils Tyler Blackett who is a centre back, but can play as a left back. There was also Leicester City’s Richie De Laet on their radar. However, they lost out on both as De Laet joined Aston Villa and Blackett moved to Reading. Coach Paul Trollope discussed it, saying: “With Fabio gone, I’ll admit looking for a full back or wing back, with a bit of versatility to cover positions. Fabs was ideal because he could play right and left, so we will be looking.”

CARDIFF ERUPTS IN JOY AS WALES STROLL TO SEMI FINALS

Fridays in Cardiff are a big deal but the city erupted when Wales shocked Europe by defeating a higher ranked Belgium side in the quarter finals of Euro 2016 in France. The Welsh capital didn’t know peace all through the night of the historic victory.

This year’s participation in the European tournament is the first after 58 years for Wales. They were not even given a chance at topping the group since they had England, Slovakia and Russia as group mates. They provided the first shock by topping the group to advance to the next stage. They defeated their Round of 16 opponents Northern Ireland to advance without any hiccups. The quarter final stage was when many felt they would turn back home and the tournament would have still been a good one for them. However, Wales had more shock in stock.

Wales fought back from a 1-0 lead from Belgium to send the star-studded team back home as the game ended 3-1. The victory means they will meet Portugal in the Semi Finals of the tournament, a meeting nobody could have guessed when the games begun. Huge roars were heard from anywhere in Cardiff in the night of the victory.

CARDIFF FANS CLAMOUR FOR CRAIG BELLAMY

Fans of English Championship side, Cardiff City have begun a social networking clamour for home-town ace Craig Bellamy.

After losing out on the playoffs, the fans seek a replacement for Russell Slade as Bluebirds’ manager.

Current coach, Slade, has admitted that he is in the dark over his future, with his current deal due to lapse after their game against Birmingham on Saturday. Fans, even popular ones, asked City’s owner Vincent Tan to be bold and ask Bellamy to “re-ignite the fire in the team and the club” for upcoming campaign. Even Slade knows it’s up to Tan to decide his future especially after fans voted him out 84 percent in a fans’ poll.

Abraham, who has been a Bluebirds season-ticket holder for 43 consecutive seasons and who runs the messageboard where the poll was decided said:

“To be honest, there has been quite a bit of talk about Bellamy since October. But after the manner of the weekend defeat at Hillsborough, the clamour has got louder and louder.

“The fans, it seems, want someone to explode this football club, re-ignite their fire and passion. And as a local man, they believe Bellamy is the person to do it.

Bottom of Form

“They are becoming more and more vocal about Bellamy after it was made public that Slade’s contract is coming to an end. Many want a new manager brought in and they name Bellamy as that man.”

Abraham admitted Slade did a lot for the club but the fans just want more and prefers Bellamy to lead the team. Continue reading CARDIFF FANS CLAMOUR FOR CRAIG BELLAMY
