WILL WOLVES, CARDIFF AND FULHAM STAY UP?

Wolverhampton Wanderers secured their top flight status with four games to spare after an impressive season in the Championships. Like the recently concluded term where no joiner relegated, the three new joiners would be hoping to stick beyond their first year in the Premier League.

With wolves winning the Championship in style, there would be expectations from them. They have Chinese money, a good manager in NunoEspirito Santo, and a few prized players in their possession. So far they have been linked to Stoke City’s Jack Butland and Portuguese shot stopper Rui Patricio. AC Milan’s Andre Silva and Porto star Willy Boly are other names linked to the club even as they face the threat of losing star man Ruben Neves.

Cardiff Blues add Seb Davies

The latest addition to Cardiff Blues is Seb Davies, who comes in from Wales to play for this team. This would be a senior form of contract that he has signed for the first time. He is known for the performance he showed when he debuted for Wales in June 2017 and the game with Tonga resulted in a win for Wales with a score of 24-6.

Seb Davies as a Wales International commits himself to this new contract as a senior. At 21 years of age, he has two major tests that he played for Wales this year, one against Tonga and the other for Samoa in the month of June 2017. However, his appearance at Blues should not be surprising as he made a debut in this team when he played for them, making as many as 23 appearances about three years back. He admits that he is happy to sign this contract with the home team and he is confident of his role here as he is familiar with the system that the players follow here. Wilson: Time and Place to Publicly Criticize Players

There is a time and a place to publicly criticize professional rugby players – and choosing that wisely is a coach’s biggest challenge.

Slade did market research

The owner of Cardiff City, Vincent Tan stated that before he appointed Russell Slade as the new head coach of the Championship League club, he investigated and asked people around the world of football concerning Russell Slade and if the English tactician could be the correct man to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who was sacked from the coaching position at Cardiff City on September 18.

According to the Malaysian businessman, he said that all the feedback and comments he received concerning Russell Slade was nothing but positive ones and this was one of the main reasons on why he decided to select Slade as the new coach.

Russell Slade is not one of the most well-known coaches in England as he has only been in charge of smaller and less established clubs but Darren Fletcher is one of the figures in the world of football that knows very well Russell Slade as he was the physical education teacher for Fletcher at the Frank Wheldon Comprehensive School in Notthingham back when Fletcher was just a student.

“Russell has not changed as a man since the days when he was a PE teacher. We got on famously at school. He was a fantastic teacher, who knew when and how to show authority, but was always willing to have a laugh at the right times’’

“Russell and I have always stayed in touch. I was starting out as a young reporter when he was at Notts County and our paths crossed again. He is totally honest. A genuinely nice guy and I know I can ring him at any time for a chat or advice’’

The former Manchester United player Darren Fletcher said as he had nothing but concerning the newly appointed head coach of Cardiff City, Russell Slade.
